Support safeguarding.
This intervention framework references recognised UK education guidance — including Department for Education (DfE) generative AI guidance for schools, Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) expectations on pupil data, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and Ofqual assessment integrity guidance, and Ofsted expectations for safeguarding and curriculum quality. It supports school self-assessment; it is not legal advice and does not imply official endorsement or compliance certification.
Why this matters
Deepfakes and AI-generated imagery are a growing safeguarding concern. Schools and parents must recognise risks early and know how to respond — consistent with KCSIE and Ofsted safeguarding expectations.
What is a deepfake?
Definition
AI-generated content designed to imitate real people — voice, face or events. It can look convincing and spread quickly.

What to do
- Save evidence (screenshots, URLs, dates)
- Report concerns to the platform
- Contact school if pupils are involved — follow KCSIE escalation routes
